Today's guest is a little different in that he isn't involved in the day to day business of live entertainment, but he has a great book out called Football For A Buck: The Crazy Rise and Crazier Demise of the USFL...Jeff Pearlman.
Jeff is a journalist who took a great deal of risk to get this book out into the world and as someone that grew up watching the USFL, I was fascinated by the story.
This story has it all from bad business decisions, great talent, and Donald Trump telling owners, "I'm going to buy Doug Flutie and you are going to pay me for it." Sound familiar?
